How to update a catalog product

Use the dashboard product editor to update a catalog-managed STOCK product. The server generates its name only when one of its name fields changes.

Steps​

  1. Open the existing product and confirm you have org:products:edit.
  2. As a partner, edit permitted fields. For catalog naming, the required effective values are presentation, content, unit, category, and model; content must be at least 1.
  3. If a name field changed, review the confirmation dialog showing the current and proposed name, then confirm.
  4. Save and reload the product to see the persisted result.

In catalog mode, the dashboard omits logistics keys the caller cannot edit. Omitted keys preserve stored values; explicit null and false are still mutations and can trigger the server guard. Category and other ordinary fields follow their own permissions. See the field matrix and name rules.
